Photographer’s Note
I love deserts. when I was about 8, my parents took me with them on a road trip from Almaty in Kazakhstan, to Riga, Latvia. it took three weeks of almost contstant driving, including through Karakum desert in Turkmenistan. I usually sat at the open back of the pickup truck my father was driving (even though it meant that every evening my mother had to spend extra time getting me clean), and I guess that's when I picked up this crazy-about-the-deserts virus. not that I want to get rid of it.
photo is of the this same place taken less than an hour before the other photo - while the sun was higher up.

Hi Kristine!
Splendid photo, you captured very well this fabulous landscape...I like the shapes and the shadows of the dunes, it creates such a beautiful pattern...and the texture of the sand seems so soft. Wonderful!

Hi Kristine.
A beautifull photo of the dunes. It is a great composition in brown and blue. I love the contrast betwen the rough texture of the nearest dunes and the smooth of the other ones. A very nice picture. Regards.
Angel.

Hi Kristine,
Driving from Almaty all the way to Riga must have been an unforgettable trip experience indeed!
This shot from the Morocco desert has fabulous colours and the play of light and shadows give an extraorinary depth to the photo. I get the impression I'm loooking at a 3D image. It's ggod to see that there are still some places on Earth that remain untouched by Man.
Have a nice day.

Hi Kristine,
I can't tell if this is Mars, but if i forget the sky I see a nice italian gelati corner ;-) I like the beautiful undulations and the resulting alternance of light and shade on the dune.
Have a nice day,

Hello Kristine,
There is something in this deserts, maybe their simplicity, purity, lack of life. This frontal texture is very nice and the sand dunes are amazing. Well done. I think the sky can be more blue, your photo deserves it. I made a ws, but I'm overlimited today, so I'll post it tomorrow.
BEst regards,

Waou that's quite nice! I like the texture of the dunes. However, I think you might have taken a step forward to cut out the little plants in the foreground.
Best wishes,
Jeremy

Amazing photo Kristine, another one!!! The contrast between the sky and the sand is amazing. The sand looks so soft, such a great compostion and POV. it seems like a silky brown sheet.
Awesome job!

Hello Kristine,
I love the soft tones and shapes you have captured here. The photos I have seen of the Sahara through your eyes and of another TrekEarth photographer, Emmie 76, have made me want to follow in your footsteps and wander the lost lands of Morrocco.
Excellent capture...

Hi Kristine,
I was digging a little bit in your gallery and found this miracle. Its absolutely incredible! I also have a kind of weakness to camels, deserts, Middle East...but I like it:)
This shot is so delicate and strong at the same time. Perfect colours and superb presentation in a very well chosen frame.
Good job Kristine!
I love it.

I've never seen sand dunes like those, more like pudding or a plastic skin than made of sand grains. (Actually they remind me of a woman's body). I wonder whether this effect is due to the particular light at the moment or to a post processing.
Anyway it's an astonishing fine picture.
My inconditioned admiration,
Donato
