Photographer’s Note
I went to Morocco in January. Rain in Marrakech translated into snow in higher elevations... the road to Ouarzazate was blocked (Tizi n'Tichka pass covered with snow) so I headed south instead, to the High Atlas. Conditions in Imlil were blizzardlike when I arrived, but the sun had prevailed the next morning and I had a fantastic little trek to the nearby Berber village of Mzik. This picture gives an idea of the spectacular views I had on the way.

This photo is really fantastic Becky!
I know this region, but not in winter and I see it's really worthy, it's rare to see photos like this one. The snow covering the brown colours of the landscape, really great! Well done!Do you have more from this region?

This is beautiful, Becky--it's great that you got there when fresh snow was around, because the snow-covered trees at the bottom really add a nice lacy texture that contrasts with the bleakness. Nice that you included some of that bright blue sky, too. I've only seen these towns in the hot summer, but they certainly get a lot of winter weather, too, when I imagine life must be a lot tougher. Regards, Ken.
