Au "Porte du Sahara" Photo

Photographer’s Note

From Zagora a long and straight road conducts,
cutting a flat stony stretch,
to the dunes of Tinfou,
the first Sahara dunes
and to the "Porte du Sahara" hotel,
a kasbah style building.
The place is all for us and the nice owner, Fritz,
is a kind and smiling guest
and it tells us of his project
of the construction of an astronomic observatory
above the hotel,
as the place is favorite for stars viewing.

From the terrace, toward the sunset
I miss my sight at the horizon
following a man and his donkey.

The silence and a great peace flutter around.
For a long time I will remember this place.

I realy like the atmosphere you captured in the well taken composition, the hot ground is rising to the sky and the details as the tower and the man are very nice in the well taken shot, good job Happy easter.

Dear Luca ,
I Took a look at your beautiful gallery u have so many quality pics but I thought this one was underrated.Though the contrast could have been better but the beautiful pic is outstanding .Tranquil colors is a big PLUS.

Luca, This place so greatly expresses the feeling I had in Morocco. Old style buildings and lot of open space. Beautifly seen and captured. Lucie

Hi Luca - excellent light, putting the tower there was a brilliant idea, I wish the rider was closer, but great composition anyway
