This scene was amazing to me. Taken in the deep and narrow Todgha valley about 2 hours east from Ouarzazate, I was walking along the small road in the very bottom of the "Gorges du Todgha" for a nice 4 hours tour.
At some point, when I and my friend thought we were alone in the world, we heard in the heighness some goats. It took us about 2 or 3 minutes to discover two shepherds walking litterally "in" the mountain at about 200 m above our head. We were completely afraid for them but they made their way almost as fast as us on the rock face.
That was a new opportunity to test my new 420 mm equivalent lens.
I reframed the original picture so as to convey the feeling I had when discovering them making their dangerous way, their slow but continuous progress on the rock face. Unfortunately, with the narrow framing, we lose the fantastic surrounding Gorges but I will try to correct this in the coming days...

Hey Steven - I just returned from two weeks in Morocco, but failed to make it to Todgha (so much to see) and now you make me regret even more bitterly that I didn't have more time! This shot make very vivid the life in the mountains and I think the original cropping works great. The light is very hard, indeed one of the sheeps is blown out. Perhaps pulling in the curves could yield some improvement.
Please post more!

I like your composition and the way you framed it. Your note is also very interesting, so is the subject. It must be an amazing place to visit. It seems like the photo lacks a bit of color or contrast...?

very nice image. your new lens did well for you. wonder if a slight color correction would help as there seems to be a lot of red or magenta apparent even in the shados on the goats. like the composition a lot and does convey well the comments you posted. look forward to your next images of the surrounding area. they also sound interesting.

Se site est splendide mais je ne remarque pas de dominantes magenta parasites dont parle Lyn, je viens de faire étaloner mon écran qui est relativement neuf. A part un des moutons un peu surexposé, la scène est bien cadrée.

I like the postbox format, and the scene conveys the way in which these people live and "work". Thanx for sharing
