Photographer’s Note
Sorry everyone, I can't resist from posting this classic one which I initially posted in TL. Again other photos from Dunes of Merzouga.
This goes into my theme of Nature and man, how tourism has altered our nature or landscape. Here you see a camel convoy of tourist returning after spending a night in the oasis. Yep I was on foot so had to run couple of metres to capture the shot. I knoe the composing could have been a bit better with excluding the camel head on the left and including the one on the right but.... you know..
What I like here the contrast beetween the dunes and the convoy. For me it just show me how small we are next to the nature, but yet we human are still capabale of destroying it.
tech.
Light PP to adjust the contrast and saturation.

Thi is so iconic it couldn't have been representative if it'd been contrived for a tourist info brochure. Good PoV, very neat shot.

Hi Bala. Beautiful warm colours and a good framing. More than nature, tourism also destroys the local ways of life, which sucks just as much...
The footsteps in the top left corner are also a nice subject for pictures. Could you take pictures of such steps?

Hello Bala,
image classique qui fonctionne à merveille.
Jolie jeu d'ombres et de lumière.
Cette dune est énorme !

It would truly be a classic if local people were riding those camels - but since we have tourists here it is definitely not a 'classic' but rather a 'common' one. I am not a great fan of including tourists in travel photos ;).
The photo itself from a technical stand is great.
congrats.

Hi, Bala, nice shot, well aimed, good light caressing the dunes and offering contrast as well, maybe a bit framed/cropped too squarely for that type of vista with a foreground consisting of a horizontal extending element (the caravan). But maybe not, just a thought.

Up to the reality like it is, we can't deny that these camel life is prolounged by the curious tourists always dreaming of a bigger sand playground .... :).
Colors are extremely great with the play of shadows here on the curving dunes, an other peace of heaven.
Perfect Catch Bala, very pleasing to the eye.

Beautiful warmth to the colours. i like the shadows falling from the camels. It would be great just a little later in the day and having these shadows stretching out across the sand. Very difficult shot to take though, with the sun in the background, yet you have still got most of the people visible and not hidden in a dark shadow.

Bala, this is excellent! i like that it is continuous... the line does not stop and the way it is framed, the head of a camel is coming into the photo just as a camel head is leaving the photo. it tells us the line does not end. the shadows are very nice as well.

This, for me, is like something directly out of some kind of movie. The caravan moving in a line across these dunes in the desert creates a real out there feel. The lighting helps add to the dramatic effect by having a golden glow to it and highlighting the sand in a stage like way too. You certainly managed a great point of view to capture the line. At first I was going to say something about chopping off the lead camel's head but then I noticed it matches perfectly with the last camel. It sort of lets the eye continue the camel at the back and start over all again. So it works out fine in the end.

Great shot Bala;
I REALLY like the composition in this photo. By placing the subjects (the camels & riders) at bottom, you've opened the eyes up to the entire dune which works well in showing scale.
The exposure is good, and the clarity & sharpness is nice.
Well done,
~ Dan

Nice. I especially like how you have tourists in the shot. This make it more "real." I'm not a fan of shots that try to make a place a fairy tale (like tourist-less shots of tourist locales).
My only wish was that it was a longer format shot (I'd love to see the shot extend more to the right and left).
Cheers Bala!

Hi Bala - nicely done, very good light and perspective, I wish the 3 riders at right did not look so obviously as tourists.

Bala:
Having this picture limited in TL is a shame, because not everyone from TE ever walked into that door.
Thank you for offering us a wonderful capture of our earth. I am here to show my respect and admiration to your success.
Cheers!

Hi Bala
the only critique I have for this picture is "Wow", wait I change my mind it's "wow, wow, oh wow" what a great capture. I have an invitation from my Boss to take the same trip in India, but due to my Dad's health I can't make the trip. Must be a bad year for me
thanks so much for sharing such a beautiful image with us

This is a great , wonderful shot, and I like a lot the lights and shadows of the big dune. Very good also the subject of the camels, also because they are so small in front of the big dune. And beautiful colors too!
