Ok, so its not Mars, but with all that red thats what it felt like. This is a small abandoned kasbah (old fortified city) near the famous Ait Benadou Kasbah near Ourazazate. Took it with my zoom at the maximum.

The city of Ourazazate is not very interesting, its mostly modern and there is not much life, but the AIt Benadu, which is a restored Kasbah is amazing, and has been used for such films as the Jewel of the Nile and Gladiator. I will post a photo from it in the future.

Regards

Daniel

I think here there is too much luminosity...but the title suits it all, good pic !

Fui a Ouarzazate hace casi 15 años y tu foto me anima a volver. Es cierto que parece Marte y es excelente la definción de toda la foto. Nada más verla dan ganas de sudar. Un beso Daniel.

Salut Daniel
Belle image, a l'ambiance très chaude, ou sont les oasis?
Toni

A very interesting scene, Daniel; the palm trees are a nice accent. Your framing conveys the wide-open-space feel.

A couple of minor problems: It's overexposed, which loses some detail, and the resolution seems low. Mostly well-composed, except that the bottom looks slightly cut-off.

Bonjour Daniel,
Je sent la chaleur a travers ta photo.
Magnifique dégradé de ocres.
J'aperçois un palmier.
Le chateau se confond parfaitement dans le paysage.
Bravo
Dominique

Daniel, i really like this shot, you made a very nice composition here in my opinion..
The red colour is amazing here..(i have never seen this red though when i was there,, my bad luck! ;-) (i will post some of my pictures in Morocco soon as well,.)
take care..

Hi Daniel - the red tones have given this a martian feel, I also like the glimpse of snow covered mountains

This is very interesting. You must know- this kind of picture is not my favourite but I really like colours here- amaizing. Like from "mars". This is very interesting place, for me. Simple composition: because I see here almost two colours- good idea. good luck

Very interesting place. The landscape looks quite surreal and captivating. Besides the natural scanning issues, which add some noise to the image and reduces definition, I think that a less centered position to the Kasbah (namely placing it more to the left) would work well. This would place it in a strong point of the framing and give a wider view on the landscape at the right.

I love that village and its architecture. I suggest a WS to correct the exposure and the noise probably due to the scan process.

Bonsoir Daniel,
Comme promis j'ai parcouru ta galerie de 243 photos et j'en ai retenu 3. Celle de cette «kasbah» est mon premier choix parce q'on peut difficilement s'imaginer comment des gens ont bien pu vivre dans une telle aridité.
Jean-Pierre
