Photographer’s Note
Fishing boats in Essaouira
From Marrakech to the Atlantic coast, you can go, by bus, (near 3 hours and a half), to visit the beautiful village of Essaouira.
Taking a walk by the village, one of the first things that you can see is its colorful harbour, full of big fishing boats, with the fishermen very busy, a lot of people waiting for the fish, and lots of seagulls flying over all the sky and landing to catch some fresh food.
Beside this scene, I saw a little part of the port without this busy ambient, nobody was there, only they, these small blue fishing boats, waiting for its moment to freely leave to sail by the sea.
I liked to see the blue puzzle the boats were forming, one next to the other, and I didn’t doubt in capturing its colorful vision
I hope you enjoy it too.

Hello Jaume,
I think this photo is a bit everexposed, but I like the colors and the repetition of patterns of this boats.

Fantástica imagen, un tanto quemada ;) pero bien vista la perspectiva de este puzzle of boats. El color azul siempre le da un toque muy bonito a las fotos, como aquí nos enseñas.

It is overexposed or not saturated enough but I think that the conceptually this is very interesting phot.

Hola Jaume
Interesante foto y aunque descolorido el azul predomina.
me gusta la repeticion del motivo, pero sin rigor.

Good repetition of subjects. I have tried similar things, though not with boats. I therefore like this kind of dense composition. I also like the strong colors here.

interesting forms and shapes, creating a repeating pattern of boats, love the blue colour, very pleasing to the eyes!

Nicely done Jaume, I like the unkept appearance of the boats with random blue patches. The form of repetition is great.

Hola Jaume,
Those blue boats are the soul of Essaouira ! You caught them well, here, all of them, all a bit different. I like this POV and this dizzy repetition.
Just a pity it is a bit overexposed...
I really prefer your auto-WS ! :o)
The colors are much more powerful, even if the whole picture seems a bit less 'real'.
Hasta luego,
Youssef.

Hola Jaume, nice shot and composition and contrary to other's comments I don't find the picture overexposed; perhaps they are not aware about the bright sun light present in such countries. I like the symmetrical composition and the repetitive patterns and the nice blue tones. Well done!

I like your repition theme, tanning of leather and pyrimids of clour, but this jumps out most for me. It is a little overexposed, but the blues and greys work for me. Well done.

Hi Jaume - fantastic composition and excellent use of repetition, I especially like the way the single mismatched gray boat stands out.
