I almost decided not to upload this as it has 2 minor flaws: fg arch is oof, and the bg is slightly oe. I tried playing with levels and was only partly successful. Anyway, you be the judge. I have already uploaded a closeup of the puddle and its reflections. I really liked the composition here even though technically it is slightly imperfect. Taken near the El Bahia Palace in Marrakech (Marrakesh) which was closed both times I attempted to visit.

My experience of Morocco is just one day trip from Spain, but style of old town with narrow alleys and such arches is familiar.
Well chosen viewpoint for this 'tunnel vision'. Good exposure on shady light. People at the background have surprisingly colourful clothes.

Like your captures of Marrakesh, remember very well the one about the puddle and here also it has good color reflections
Good to put the arches acting as frames of frames and the view of the ally ? going to the very back
If you like one of your captures, to work a bit with PS and then post it, what matters is the composition and this is a good one
Cheers and tfs

You had a good idea to use the arches to frame the scene. The length of the street is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the détails of the arches. Have a nice day.

I find it very attractive shot. I like the reflection in small puddle, the colours are nice and the depth is excellent. Very nice view from magical Marrakech.

nice the view of this characteristic narrow alley of Marrakech with the ochra painted arch,to make the scene even more effective.I like the creative perspective as the light and the colour management of it.

like the perspectives here and the puddle reflection adds to the intrigue and sense of height beyond the arches. It is an original and enticing study, with lots of wonderful light and shade.

Je reconnais cet endroit et pris aussi une photo...j'aime les couleurs des murs, la succession des arches, le sol de pavés, un endroit calme comme quand j'y suis allée, j'aime le reflet dans l'eau, la profondeur , belle présentation

I like the use of a series of arches as frame, even if the lighting was difficult to control you were able to convey the good architectures of this famous city. Well done, tfs.

that is one of the problems in Marrakesh, the streets are built to keep the sun out, as a result the photographer has to deal with high ASA numbers, high contrast, shallow dof and too long exposure times. I like your picture, as all the other critiquers do. Focus and exposure are important, but not everything.

Yes I can see why you had your misgivings about this one, but I think the positives far outweigh the negatives and I would have posted it too. I like the rich yellow/orange tones and the OE at the end is actually attractive to my eye. Is it my bad eyesight, or is the right hand wall on the second arch actually crooked? I mean, not crooked because of you, but because of whoever built it? Anyway, a good, characteristic and attractive shot of this mesmerising city.
Thanks for sharing, have a great day
