Casablanca's clock tower was built in the early twentieth century by Commandant Dessigny. Its fragile structure led to its destruction in the mid twentieth century. The clock tower was rebuilt in 1994. It is located on the Place des Nations Unies (United Nations Square), at the entrance of the old medina. The Clock Tower, with a height of 20 metres, is a kind of beacon in the city.
In this photo, the entrance to the medina can barely be seen behind the clock tower.
Kazablanka Saat Kulesi
Kazablanka Saat Kulesi Komutan Dessigny tarafından yirminci yüzyıl başlarında inşa edilmiştir. Kırılgan yapısı yirminci yüzyıl ortasında yıkılmasına yol açtı. Saat kulesi, 1994 yılında yeniden inşa edilmiştir. Bu eski medine girişinde, Place des Nations Unies (Birleşmiş Milletler Meydanı) üzerinde yer alır. 20 metre yüksekliğindeki Saat Kulesi kentte mirengi noktasıdır.
Bu fotoğrafta, medine girişi zorlukla saat kulesinin arkasında görülebilir.

A lot going on in your picture.A pity there are so many wires and cables.Maybe a different P.O.V?
Two people in the foreground look stressed.

nice continuation of your series from Casablanca!
I like the way you composed the scene juxtaposing the architecture with daily-life of the city(you placed perfectly these two women in the FG).
What I like more about it is the color scheme of your image and strong contrast(especially yellow facade against blue sky looks fabulous!).
Have a nice day

The old tower, modern labyrinth structure, many (mostly red) cars, and the people on the big square - all culminate to a wonderful scenery.
Excelent clarity, fine colors mingle in great harmony, and contrast the blue sky. Cheers,

I remember this place and this view of Casablanca but for some strange reason I didn't take a picture of it. Looking at this photo, I regret I didn't.
The picture is full of life and shows Casablance the present day in front of the old medina walls and the clock tower.
The colourful modern structure wasn't there in April 2011. Perhaps, it is a temporary work of art.
Looking at how the people are dressed, it must still have been quite cold in March.
Best regards, Paul

this is a very interesting picture too. The graphism and intricacy of the background are attractive and there's a lot of information to study. The colours of the sky and the setting offer eye-catching combinations and contrasts. The vibrancy of the background is matched by the movement and human interest in the foreground. The street scene looks strikingly natural against the graphical aspect of the setting. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the wide sqaure with the tram track and tall poles, long yellow wall together clock tower and the mudina with old buildings which is visible behind a wall. The whole is harmonized well by good arrangement and tasteful color combination.

while I Casablanca I crossed this area 3 times I guess, inside that sculpture of globe I found lots of trash and garbage. In the image the place looks much more clean than when I was there. nice details of architecture and the daily life. Tfs.
