A GATE TO THE CHAOS, a photo from Fes, North

Photographer's Note

BAB BOU JELOUD is the main gate of Old Medida of Fes. There is a big and empty square in front of it and lots of narrow streets ahead where you can be lost in few minutes. This gate is brand new, was build by French around 100 years ago.

Bab Bou Jeloud é o portão principal da velha Medina de Fes. Há uma grande praça vazia diante dele e uma porção de vielas estreitas onde você pode se perder em um minuto. Este portão é novo, foi feito pelos franceses há uns 100 anos.

Hello Jorge,

A nice image showing the gate which can lead you to the maze of narrow streets. I like this big square where there are some vendors selling under the tents. Nice color contrast between the blue sky and the red gate.

ciao jorge,

chaos could be the right definition to fez...but I would prefer the title: a door to another dimension lingering somewhere in time!
IMO fez is maybe the most charming and rich moroccan city

Very interesting colorful street shot well framed displaying strong accent of local flavour and the gate and wall of medina attract viewers The highlights are the very well seen, good pov, compostion in nice color contrast and clarity despite the tame light. Well done
