[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken while wandering the streets of Marrakech's old town. I was caught by the simple beauty of the architecture and the almost mysterious glimpse of the mother and child (whose faces I never saw).

Getting the shot was a hurried process, the lane cleared momentarily (it had been very busy) and when the mother and child walked past me I felt transported back in time. It was a scene I felt like I had witnessed a thousand times in the steets and souks of Marrakech but few as quiet and serene as this one.

The shot was positioned to avoid a doorway which complicated the picture. The man is included purely by circumstance but I justify his presence simply by the fact that it's more his alley than mine!

Little has been done to this photo other than some lighting adjustments (it was a very bright day with very dark shadows). I also toned down the green to bring out the pink tones of the walls which is a much closer representation of what my eye saw. My camera was also very basic(but easily hidden in one's own pocket-an advantage when travelling sometimes)

I would appreciate any feedback people could give. So much to learn.......

Nice photo, nice shadows and light. Interesting the black man and the white woman with small kid. Nicely done. Welcome to TE and good luck!

I love this shot, a great moment caught. I did a workshop on it just to see if I could bring more of the picture into light, what do you think?

Very nice shot Karina but the fact that only the backs of people show makes this photo one dimentional and gives the viewer a feeling of being pulled away from the scene. The excess difference in light is also one factor contributing to this effect. But, the architecture of the place is well captured and also a definite movement.
