I know there are so many shots of these blue boats from the coastal town of Essaouira on TE already, but I have to say that I found them pretty photogenic.
You will find these boats down at the harbour area, and it is a working port very busy throughout the day, from boats being made to fish being brought in.
In the workshop I have added a further away view.

Hello Wanda! Amazing boats. Wonderful POV and marvelous composition. Good capture and frame. Superb colours. Good work. Good luck!

well done wanda!
All these blue boats facing in the same direction and just one, half white facing us

Beautiful capture with a nice, appropriate depth of field. The level of sharpness is perfect and we get to appreciate all of the details. The dark blue boat really stands out and it was a good idea to include it in such a manner within the picture. Would have been even better if the boat on the left had been bright blue on the inside as well but there's nothing you can do about that.

leuke compositie en erg mooie kleuren samenstelling.
Ook de verweerde verflagen van de boten op de voorgrond doen het heel goed.

Very photogenic indeed. I like the tight, tight crop, which makes this shot stand out, nevertheless. Closeness.
(Good shot in the WS, too.)

Hi Wanda, they are photogenic indeed. I like this rendition of yours. Lots of good detail visible in the boats and nicely saturated colours. Tightly cropping the two in the FG works well. cheers, Steve

Hi Wanda, as you say there are many shots of these boats on TE, but this is one of the most appealing. Great sharpness, angle, pattern and colour. Your POV makes this a great shot. Makes me want to visit Morocco.

Wow wanda, this is lovely, such remarkable contrasts and such amazing hues. I love the way you have composed this
mark_mk (266) 2009-01-10 6:29
beautiful one! Colors are of course wonderful here and so is your composition, everything here is framed absolutely perfect. These boats definetly made a great motive and your realization was great! I really like it, thanks for sharing!

Yes you're right there are so many shots of the blue boats and a thounsand of shots about boats but this is definitely different than the others , very creative work.
The graphical effect of the boats looks fantastic due to your perfect POV.
Congrats and have a nice weekend,

A photo composed wonderfully. Very much like the colours and the attractive details. Spectacular and beautiful photo from the "sea of the boats".
Have a nice weekend!

wonderful composition. Yes, these boats have been photographed a lot, but I like the way give us a different perspective with wonderful little details. Colorful, sharp and well-capture. Great shot!
Thanks and take care!

Hi dear Wanda,
Wonderfull pov, created this great compo with those nice partial views. Very nice small hidden details and great graphical effect. Also the dark framing fits perfectly to this compo.
TFS and have a nice weekend

It is a very nice ' family and friends' theme.
Beautiful. Picture as well as thought.

I like your version here showing the color pattern of lines and curves of these boats in abstract composition, it provides a pleasant view of the details on the boat without much distraction. In particular the blue/white stripes of boat placed at the centre is really quite eye catching among the rest. Apparently your closing in to the near reach of the boat and zoom into this view at low angle has made it more interesting to see the repetitive shapes of the boats, all in blue except one in green.
Greetings from Borneo.

Some times you just have to get one of your own, we all at some point travel to the same place, and we all eventually have the similar photos, yet all are different, different POV, light and composition. I Like the close up of all this boats. Good details and texture to the wooden and rustic color of the boat. I enjoy it. Thanks

Wonderful colors Wanda! I'm a sucker for boats and this is one fine image in my book
delkoo (68) 2009-01-14 12:22
nice tight crop, with typical Essaouira blue, Light management, contrast, color and definition are simply superb,
pabau (488) 2009-02-01 13:22
this view from the inside of this two little boats (with their different blues and their details), avoids the classical photo where they all seem to be only decor.
