La route des Kasbahs*, le long de la vallée du Dadès est, à juste titre, amplement louée par tous les guides touristiques. La piste qui serpente à quelques hectomètres de là, parallèlement à ce macadam, entre la palmeraie de Skoura et Boumalne Dadès, offre le spectacle de paysages sublimes, désertiques et lunaires.
*Dans les pays d'Afrique du Nord une kasbah, ou casbah, désigne une citadelle.
Le terme casbah provient du mot arabe « kasabah » qui signifie « roseau ». Ce matériau était utilisé jadis, pour ses propriétés ergonomiques et économiques, dans la construction des toitures en tant qu'isolant thermique
Quand plusieurs kasbahs forment un village, cela s'appelle un « ksar ».

The track which parallels the « Route of Kasbahs* », between the oasis of Skoura and the small city Boumalne Dadès gives sight to sublime desertic and moon-like landscapes in which sometimes appears a Berber nomad with a herd of goats
*A kasbah or Qassabah is a type of medina, Islamic city, or fortress.
It was a place for the local leader to live and as a defense when the city was under attack. A kasbah has high walls which usually have no windows. Sometimes, they were built on the top of hill to make them easier to defend. Some of them were also placed near the entrance of harbors.

une photo très différente . Et j'aime beaucoup l'idée . Les pierres guident le regard : on s'y croirait ! Très belles couleurs .

Bonjour Patrick,

Les couleurs sont très belles et j'aime la façon dont sont placées ces rochers : ils meublent bien le premier plan et évitent qu'il ne soit trop vide.

Salut Patrick,
on pourrait penser que c'est un peu vide mais en fait je trouve que la succession de ces pierres fonctionne très bien comme cela. Cela donne du rythme à ta photo. Cadrage et expo nickels complètent le tout.

belle perspective vers la gauche, c'est toujours épatant de voir un tel décor minéral, où la main de l'homme se fait discrète, mimétique

Great landscape, with such clarity leading off into the distance! The reddish sand is great. It looks lonely, but I kind of want to ramble along the track and see what is over the hill. (I better bring some water). That must have been an interesting trip last year. Fine work! Cheers,

pour une fois ce sont des éléments inertes qui "animent" ta composition. Cela ne m'empêche pas de l'apprécier, d'admirer les couleurs et la qualité de l'image.

Finalmente un paesaggio (in questo caso desertico) il cui colore ...sia reale ....bellissimo cromatismo senza alterazioni e sbavature.
Il paesaggio è eccezionale, molto interessante, gestione del colore e ...temperature

the three color combination is quite nice, the desert sand color here is outstanding, looks more pinkish than usual golden orange color. Is that the kasbah in far right near the horizon? the clouds are dramatic. Low pov with depth and fine perspective, the scattered small rocks are good foreground objects to fill in the compo. Simple but meaningful shot Patrick,

I know you wonder these remote deserts too, why dont you post more of these places, equally exotic as india..wonder what renders the red in the soil. would have liked a high pov on this place. looks stunning

Très belle image de ce désert marocain. J'aime bien l'inclusion des blocs de pierre qui se succèdent au premier plan et apportent de la profondeur. Les couleurs sont très naturelles et la netteté est excellente.

A very appealing landscape and a fine perspective. The deserts are a very photogenic subjects and its colour here is quite pleasant and contrast with the blue sky. Good proportions according to the 1/3 rule and an opportune focal point in foreground to enhance the sense of depth.
(It's uncommon to see a photo of yours without a human being in it! (:-)

This is not that different than my Mungo Postings. Great landscape with red sand under a magnificent sky, excellent definition and detail in the FG. I like the wheel tracks that lead the eye into the distance and what appears like alot of animal foot prints scattered about.
