High Atlas colour Photo

Photographer’s Note

To get from Marrakech to the area nearer the Sahara you have to drive through the High Atlas mountains, an area with steep winding roads and spectacular views.
On the day we drove over the mountains we had patches of sunny weather and this set up photos of colourful rocky landscapes sometimes with snow in the back ground (but not for this shot). Some of the colours in the folded hills reminded me of the MacDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs in central Australia.

Hi Ian,
The first time I saw the High Atlas mountains it was the colour that inspired me the most. You've cracked it perfectly in this image, well done.
Wonderful clear image, great focus and good exposure.
