Photographer's Note
This photograph is part of the Kasbah at Ait Benhaddou.
There are less than 10 families now living there and since it becam a UNESCO world heritage site some of the buildings have undergone restoration to the upper sections.
Ait Benhaddou and its environs have featured in a number of films including Gladiator. It is situated approx 30km's north of Ouarzazate. You can explore without a guide although no doubt there will be a number of offers. Care should be taken inside some of the buildings as it can be quite dark and the earth steps can be quite hard on the legs esp if you are carrying heavy equipment. The photograph was taken towards the end of the day.

Hello Steve,
a very nice picture, I like the man against this huge city, excellent juxtaposition. The gold colors are fantastic, such a nice place. I like it.
Very good shot.

Très joli endroit d'un autre temps bien mis en boîte avec ce "touareg' bleu dans l'immensité jaune-ocre du paysage.

Wow - what a lovely light you have on this place and with the person in blue and the green palmtrees as a good contrast to the sand-colours.
Really nice.

Hello Steve, the color of this composition is a charmer, the light of the ¿to get dark? is precious and the person walking gives an important sound of interest to the photo.
Happinesses and a greeting. ....... Paco

That's a spectacular view - I see there's much left in Morocco for me to discover. The lone blue figure is very nice in this scene; I'm less keen on the framing. The composition edges seem rather undefined - perhaps because it was taken at the long end of your lens, giving a post-box effect. I think trimming out that shadow on the left edge and the sliver of sky on the right might help a little, although a closer wider view could have been better.

Hi Steve,
of course, Ait Benhaddou, always great! and you really captured its beauty and ancient history. The time you did it, is one of the best to shot here. You chose well including a wide area of this place, and the blue human touch. Congratulations.
I've been there this year, and seeing your picture you have brought me good moments. This is the last view you see when you leave from there, it will always remain in my mind.
I invite you to see another view I did from the same place here, almost from the same point.
Best regards and TFS.

Hello Steve,
Here is another picture which makes me happy in prevision of what I expect to see in April. Last time I visited Alt Ben Haddou it was raining and I could hardly get out of the minibus. There was not no restoration ( it was 1989 ) I like the way you also caught the man in blue at the right place. Really fantastic picture, that could make a poster .Goes to my favorite ones. Many thanks - Izzet

Great shot, the blue makes a very strong point of interest.
I think you can get an even stronger picture if you trim the top, so that (a) you don't see where the city ends - making it even more impressive, and (b) the blue sky doesn't compete with the blue outfit.
