Photographer's Note

Taken early in the morning when the village was still asleep, this is a view of the Aït Benhadou Ksar from a little narrow street.

The Kasbah of these Ksour tend to be abandoned today as this traditional way of living is quite remote from the standard of living people expect nowadays. Nevertheless, I saw that few of them were still maintained by local family.

I was told there were about half a dozen left in the Ksar itself. In this very Kasbah on the right, you can notice that the owner made a great job by perfectly maintaining the clay structure and its traditional ornaments on the upper part.

Cropped, USM applied.
