Photographer’s Note
Ait Benhaddou is a magnificent site and rightly world heritage listed. It has, however, been compromised by modification to make it look right for filming some of the many movies that have been filmed there (eg to make it look a bit more Egyptian). I've left photos of the actual kasbah and details of the movies to others on TE.
What else I was impressed with at Ait Benhaddou was the surrounding countryside with green patches of farming along the just still running (another month and the river would have slowed to a trickle), the desert like landscape of coloured ridges in the background, barren ground in the foreground and the odd bit of snow in the distance.
The photo required minimal adjustment.

Hi Ian,
Amazing isn't it that Quarzazate would have a thriving film industry. The last time I was there they were shooting the latest version of Cleopatra.
Great shot, you've captured the colours and texture of the countryside perfectly.
Nice one.
Regards
Peter
