Djemaa el Fna waiters

Marrakech……what a delightful and chaotic city and what a fascinating blend of Arabic, Berber, European and West-African influences. And it all comes together on the famous Djemaa el Fna (جامع الفناء) square. Especially at night things get really exciting there when it becomes a combination of a giant open air restaurant and a multiplex street theatre full of musicians, dancers, storytellers and snake charmers.

Displayed here are waiters and cooks - it’s the end of the afternoon and they had just set up their movable restaurants and were anticipating the dinner rush that soon would follow.

Some more info about the square is here: Djemaa el Fna
Next pic: the square at night.

The PCS3 work flow: I altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, using different layers, enhanced the edges, USM-ed, added a frame and resized and did a gentle USM (1,1px, 22%) again.

Hoi Bert,

John.

Hello Bert,
This photo has being taken in end according to midday at the time of the installation of the tables on the Place.

These boys are right well to rest before the night does not arrive and that they leave for vibrating work hours.
This moment was well captured.
Regards
Marc

So typical from the place... You composed Djemaa el Fna in a original (almost) abtract way... Inspired.

Hi Bert,

Good to see that your back again. You have chosen an excellent POV here. An there is a diagonal line of waiter and cooks that makes it very attractive. The late aftenoon light is also very nice and another excellent choice. TFS and have nice-week-end!

Cheers,

Ulf

Hi Bert,
cahotic, but a very interesting place and culture. Funny this cooks working in open air, hehe, at least the clothes are clean!
Congratulations and Hug!

Geia sou Bert,

It would have been so easy to over-expose all these whites in the sun, but you have done an admirable job. Good daily life scene, well composed using perspective vert effectively. Well done
