The Palais de la Bahia in Marrakesh was built towards the end of the 19th century, over a period of 14 years as the residence of Si'Ahmed ben Musa, the Grand Vizier of Sultan Moulay al-Hassan I. A palace full of visual pleasure, peace, quiet and coolness. It is visited partly but still offers a maze of elegant alleys, courtyards and corridors. I was attracted by the depth and the colors of these doors, and caught a passing men in between.

Hi Izzet, what a wonderful view, full of mood and mist and with an excellent composition of lines and colours.

creative framing. The man is nicely cut below the shoulders and appears to be a good silhouette. The framing with the arch is quite eye-catching. Is there a reason you didnt show more of the man or was this the in-camera crop?

Clever shot. The use of the light and the architecture is good. Even very interesting.
Finally, that man adds a lot of force to the photo.

This is such an excellent shot! The pure, simple composition is it's strength, with the lone person silhoetted against the series of arches. I like the way the arches echo each other, with slight differences but the same basic shape. The colours are all matching each other too. Superb!

J'aime beaucoup ton choix de cadrage original où ne ressortent que les arcades arrondies et ce marocain en ombre chnoise dans l'encadrement... Beau contraste des couleurs !

Hello Izzet, a visual feast of layers, colours, light and shadow emphasised solidy by your crop. I like your choice of framing very much-- in the same situation I would have automatically framed the entire doorway and man, losing much of the visual impact you have created here. A simple but effective change of presentation has made this photograph very interesting to view and still captures the essence of the place as a "maze".

Cool stuff, Izzet.
I wonder what came first: Your very own vision of that place and the man, or the picture's final results.
Because, I've got to tell you pal, this is an imaginary work of an artist.
Palette of colors - a dish full of delights.
Have a great weekend and keep that shutter hot.
