Amidst the swarm of onlookers and passersby along the narrow souks of Marrakesh stood this girl deep into her thoughts. She shut herself out from the rest of the outside world. She was concentrating, introspecting. I knew I wasn't the only one aiming a camera at her. But she stood there unmoved. The doors were opening up the journey into her soul.

I like the combination of concentrated look on her face and the "light at the end of a tunnel" sumbolism. I also like the contrast between trashes/dirty tones and her colorful clothes.

I really like this one Manny. I think your composition is very good here, the muted colors work for me, and the dark alleyway really helps to emphasize the girls isolation. It does look just a touch soft, but for this type of photo, that is not terribly important. Good shot Manny.

I was also thinking about the "light at the end of the tunnel" metaphor when seeing this. A very effective composition with the girl leaning against the wall on the right, and her brightly colored clothes contrasting really well to the gray and dirt we can see behind. The composition is excellent, the tunnel going from light to dark is caught very well, and the soft colours are very attractive. But for me, this shot does not have the same impact as your recent Asian ones.

Not quite introspection - we see that the girl looks not inside herself but at something (fruit?) in her hand, but very strong composition and contrast between colorful clothes and dark passage with bright patio at the end of it.
Meaningfull work. Though lacks in sharpness a little.
Might look good in BW too.

I first want to say that I like this picture a lot. This girl is deep inside her thoughts, and the empty alley behind it, emphasise it. On a technical level, the girl is slightly over exposed, and it makes the colors of her clothing slightly dull.
