Photographer’s Note
Streets of Marrakech IV
In Marrakech you can experience a lot of exciting things, one of them, I think, is to lost yourself walking by the streets of its medina. You have the feeling of being walking inside a great labyrinth, it is impossible to remember from where you come, or to take the correct way to go where you want. This is a distraction for the young boys, who are always ready to help you to show the correct way to go at Jemaa el-Fnaa in exchange of some small alms.
This view is somewhere in the medina (I was lost, I promise it), I liked the ray of sunlight trying to reach at the ground. I hope you like it to.
Go there and lost yourself by its streets, everything in your mind changes, the problems go away, the order of the priorities changes…

Very interesting capture, Jaume.
Beautiful colors and an atmosphere that makes us feel that the time has stopped over there.
We had a very successful soap opera produced here in Brazil a few months ago with a big part of the screenplay shot in Morroco. Lots of scenes like yours were commom in the tv screen everyday. It reminds me that a lot.
All the best !

Hi Jaume, nice to see a new post from you. I like the way you have composed the arches here. You have captured a beautiful but tough place in the world to live so eloquently. Plus the colors are excellent. Well done Jaume!

Hi Jaume !
I really enjoy your Moroccan pictures, and you describe well the feelings at that instant. In this one, of course the ray of light is nice, but what I like the most is that you present in one picture all the different textures and decoratives possible: the wooden door in the far, with it's typical huge metallic doornails; the ceramic in the foreground; the old rocks in the arch; and finally this strange floor: kind of ceramics, but not really.
Well done Amigo !
Hasta luego,
Youssef.

Hi Jaume - wonderful composition of red, arc and arch, and a magical ray of light. The disgusting dark stain on the pavement is also interesting, it looks like blood or urine, but it's probably neither.

Hola Jaume, very nice picture, well composed. It has a touch of Middle East/arabian mystique which makes me wonder what is around the next corner or behind that door. The warm colours and the light are very enjoyable. Well done!
Regards, Christian

Hello jaume
I will have expected to see the streets more animated.
Good mood here with the light at both end of the tunnel, and the ray of light through the tunnel that looks like a knife.
