It is still early morning in Marrakesh and while the most of tourist are still sleeping this man is on his way to work in a lonely side street in the southern Medina.
Marrakesh is a busy city with crowds of tourists mainly in the northern Medina where the big Souks are. Therefore it really pays of to be around early to have the city to yourself. In the narrow streets that allow not much light to come trough the light can be quite uncompromising to during the peak day hours, a further argument for the early bird.

I fully agree, and am an early bird too. There is always something so special about a big city so early when nobody is around, and of course it gives the opportunity to capture an image like this! The lone man is such an important part of this compositor, bring at important part of life into the scene. Nce rings too, though I suspect even the most cursory glance during a busy market day and you will have a hoard descend to convince you to part with enough money to buy one. The ight is vy special here and has brought the colors out beautifully.
Thanks as always

Hi Bonsior dear Daniel, how are you?
Sorry for my long no contatct with you due to several reasons. Wow you werw in Morocco, so wonderful and I envy you so much. Great combination with so wonderful carpets as the background with him. Perfect framework and composition are your trademark. Great normal focusing and finest light and color touch as usual.
All the best and have agood weekend! TAKERO

I hate to do this, but with very limited free time at the moment, please pardon my ‘copy & paste’ note. I really wanted to respond to as many as possible before this next week really gets away from me. With no time for details unfortunately, I can still say this image is one that I find quite enjoyable. :) All the best to you and yours for a Happy Easter. Take care.
Your note today made me smile just as much as you described on your end. Women and shoes, right?? haha

very nicely composed picture and well seized moment. The passing pedestrian has been wisely placed against colorful background and the pattern on the carpets make it more interesting. Good colors and light management, well given sharpness.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your Easter

Another great shot from exotic Marrakech! It shows so many of the characteristic features... The lovely carpets, the ochre red walls, the elaborate tiled doorways....all that is missing is a jalaba :)
Thanks for sharing

A well caught DL scene Daniel - The carpets look wonderful and I would be very tempted to purchase one! I think the fact that they are displayed against an old and crumbing wall makes them appear all the more attractive. The man with his gas cannister intrigues me; his dress is partly traditional and partly western.
A place I would like to visit and an attractive early morning scene.
Warmest wishes for Easter

great shot here, rich colours and patterns, still kept very simple by clear composition.
Well done and seen.

excellent light in this area too, not easy to acheive.
a fine and interesting daily life post.
