Photographer’s Note
To Marc (Morac) in love with Marrakech !
Jamaâ El Fna square is the main attraction of Marrakech. During the day it is predominantly occupied by orange juice stalls, youths with chained Barbary apes, water sellers in colourful costumes with traditional leather water-bags and brass cups, and snake charmers who will pose for photographs for tourists. As the day progresses the entertainments on offer change: the snake charmers depart, and in the afternoon and evening the square becomes more crowded, with Chleuh dancing-boys, story-tellers (telling their tales in Berber or Arabic, to an audience of appreciative locals), magicians, and peddlers of traditional medicines. As dark descends the square fills with dozens of food-stalls, and the crowds are at their height.

Bonjour Patrick
J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance que tu as su parfaitement retranscrire.
Karine

Hello my dear Patrick
A wonderful Photo, you cut a usual daily life by your own way. Soft color and framework are very comfortable.
The shadow is no way to avoid, I suppose.
Good Job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Takero

One who had ever stayed at that square could still easily close his or her eyes and feel the real repetitive sound of the music played , the taste of the harira and sweet gateaux, crammed people offering henna for one´s wife , some kifi to smoke , the portrait with storytellers and snakes ... and the every day amazing big show ...That square has the real spell , the smoke , fumes , foods , juices , people , rythms as you , Patrick , perfectly describe and masterfully introduce us with such eloquent picture ...
Thanks for showing and all the best ,
M.
