You post processing is excellent Greg, I prefer this photo than the other one. Well done.

Although I read the note (& haven't seen the original), I think yoor postprocessing is very good as the capture seems not to have any weak points.
In contrary - light is well balanced, composition is spot on and the channels are adjusted properly.
There's something very mistic in that contrast between hard surface on the left and of the path she walks on, and her soft innocent appearance in traditional clothing.
Keep wondering what's in the tagine... (must be the fact I skipped breakfast today!) ;-D

your pp does indeed focus our attention on the path of light and this woman... very neatly done greg;-)

Oh yes ! really good PP. I love this slight sepia light you added on the woman and the path. You really took the shot at the right moment, the woman looking to her left while her right foot is in front.

Very good post processing, and indeed an improvement of the original post. Well composed and I like as you darkened the midtones on the edges.

Let that be a lesson to you Greg, never to think just in terms of TE.
I like this a lot although the brightness of the path does give it the feel of a shot of 2 halves and a slightly disjointed feel. I would perhaps pull the path closer in tone to the left side giving her more prominence and the whole more balance and continuity.
Still easily worth 2 for all that

Beautifull photo Greg!
the woman looking so unaware of your presence and the scenery gives a 3d feeling in your photo. Moreover the burning gives such a smooth touch in the overall feeling of the pic. I like it a lot. Well done.
