| Just returned from a two week trip to Morocco - a very rewarding destination indeed. This pic portayes a typical little Berber village way out in the high Atlas Mountains. I had had a cloudy day of trekking, but as the sun was setting it came below the clouds and illuminated the village quite beautifully. The Berbers in the high Atlas are extreemely friendly people who live a life very much the way the way it has been lived for centuries with very little modern aids, but in a very beautiful setting. |

This is really a great shot. I especially like the way the white window frames and reed doors(?) seem to just jump out.
The placement of the building in the bottom of the image in conjunction with the space above conveys the sense of vast open space

A very nice picture thanks to the light. If the sun had been shining on the other ridge to it would not have been this good. I get a feeling that the houses are leaning backwards, maybe the picture should be rotated about 2 degrees CW?
Great PoV and a fine composition. I really like how the sun has fallen on the village in the foreground, and the good contrast that makes with the darker background hill and the mist. Lovely timing and an informative cultural scene.
Great drama and great effect.
Incredible scale too.
