C’était la 1ère fois que je mets les pieds dans cet endroit. Coincée entre montagne et Atlantique, la région qui va de SIDI KAOUKI (ESSAOUIRA) à TAFDNA (AGADIR) en passant le spot de SMIMOU reste fort peu connue et par la même très bien préservée avec une nature sauvage et d’une beauté à couper le soufle.

Le voyage en question était tout sauf facile, nous avons eu, un cousin et moi, la très mauvaise idée de nous aventurer avec ma voiture citadine (carrosserie très basse et proche du sol) dans une région reculée et extrêmement escarpée…je roulais pendant une à 2 heures, en 1ère vitesse seulement (impossible d’aller plus vite), et sans toutefois rencontrer âme qui vive.

J’ai fini par être assisté par de formidables gamins de la région en très fin de journée.
De retour à Marrakech…j’étais comme réssuscité, ma joie n’avait pas de limite !

It was the first time I set foot in this area. Wedged between mountains and the Atlantic ocean, the region from SIDI KAOUKI (Essaouira) to TAFDNA (AGADIR) passing by the SMIMOU spot remains little known and highly preserved with a wild nature of a breathtaking beauty.

The trip in question was anything but easy, we had, a cousin and I, the very bad idea to venture with my city car in a remote and extremely steep area... I drove easily for one to two hours, only in 1st gear (impossible to go faster), and without meeting a soul.

By the end of the day, I ended up being assisted by a group of great kids (locals).
Back to Marrakech was like being resurrected…my joy had no limits!
