Photographer’s Note
I was very pleased to decide a daily trip to Essaouira, which is some 120 kms from Marrakech. The road seems long and unless one starts very early he may arrive there around midday, not exactly what photographers are after. So I tried to get going very early and get some decent light and spend the midday hours in restaurant or cafes. Here I found an interesting and very colorful, but I also had the surprise to find these chatting men who were so busy
talking that they didn't even notice me.

Hi Izzet, lovely picture. The men with their gestures are really nice. You positioned them rigt into 1/3 from all sides. Nice composition. Essaouira is a really lovely city. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Michael

Merhaba.

Great image, because it combines 2 different things: The very colourful market; and the 3 men arguing or discussing. When you put them both together it gives a great idea of the life and appearance of this place.
I'm just noticing your portfolio for the first time, and it's very impressive. I'm didn't get a chance to see much of it yet, but I think I'm going to enjoy it a lot!

Hi Izzet,
One of the most enduring images I have of Morocco is of the souks/market at Essaouira...the colours, sounds, smells, activioty and architecture....so very Moroccan. You have captured it all in your image. A big thanks.

Wonderful and colorful picture, Izzet. There is nothing modern in this arket, it looks ancient and authentic. There is a very nostalgi feeling feeling in it, and I like it very much.

Nice composition showing the daily life of a Moroccan market. I love the many details you captured and the intensity of the colors. The conversation of the men in the front adds life to the picture. Have a nice weekend, Yvonne

Bonjour Izzet,
