Sun's rising on Erg Chebbi, a photo from Er Rachidia, South

Photographer's Note

after a night in a Berber tent we were coming back to our bus while sun was rising on Erg Chebbi

Erg Chebbi is maybe a "desert for cattled tourists" since there's plenty of hotels in Merzouga arranging camel safaris for tourists....but it's also a place where you can breath a somehow magic and melancholic atmosphere if you are in the right mood..

E ce credo.... in un posto così a seconda dell'ora l'atmosfera deve essere proprio magica. Qui sembra tutto un fuoco tanto acceso è il colore. Rosso, ocra, blu, i colori che spiccano maggiormente nelle foto. E' così bella che mancano le parole.

The superb sharpness is what strikes me first in this picture, then the fine light that underscores the ripples of the sand, creating wonderful shapes.

Non capisco quel singolo punto dato dal francese, questa è una immagine perfetta sotto tutti i punti di vista, sia per la suggestione del paesaggio sia per l'eccellente qualità fotografica con la quale ce la proponi. Ma ultimamente non mi stupisco più di nulla...

bellissima questa foto dal deserto marocchino...a volte l'abilità di chi fotografa sta anche nel mostrare un posto super-turistico come se fosse incontaminato. Missione compiuta, in questo caso, senza presenze ingombranti nel frame e con colori bellissimi.

this is a jaw dropping view. I am so jealous. I love sand dunes and these are excellent.
The texture seems so rich and unspoiled by civilization traces. The light is best possible and colors fantastic.
