Photographer’s Note
It was just before sunrise, in the desert. Merzouga is in the Tafilalt region and close to the Algerian border.. Kind of Sahara in miniature. These young people were probably carrying fossile stones to the tourists and were hurrying in order to meet a bus which has just come in. I had of course other priorities, catching locals walking in the desert with an incredible lateral light.

Wonderfully well treated subject: the POV, the light, the placement of the figures... Dunes tend to be very interesting, graphically, when complemented with the human element - as you did here - the result can be outright fascinating.
Congrats!

Beautiful picture. The soft curves of dunes are emphasized by the warm light which plays with the shadows creating a magic composition enanched by the two almost silhouettes of men in foreground.

Hi Izzet,
Yes the light is incredible, although the flare in the lower right is a bit distracting. I always like people in pictures, but this one could have been equally good without the two guys I think. The waves in the sand and the texture of the sand at the front are beautiful.
Have a nice day,

That's just fantastic, as you say, perfect light, and then they just walked into your shot, what are the chances of that, pretty slim judging by the amount of footprints int he sand.

Wow Izzet, this is nice. Great angle and the light is fascinating, it gives the photograph some kind of mystic effect. A picture from the "1001 night-fairytales". Especially with the two men walking there. Nothing else, but them and a-lot-of sand. You must have felt prett 'small' when being there.. ?
Well done! I love it.

Izzet, this shot is absolutely magnificent! the lighting looks beautiful - you caught it at the right time! the perspective looking down on the two men and the rest of the desert really shows the full scope of it. i think you've done an excellent job with this pic and it's going into my favourites! :) one question though... how high up were you?

Hi Izzet - I spotted this "little rough" looking landscape remembered a similar - yet different motif of my own - hope you dosen't mind I added it as start of a new theme.
The presence of life (people) makes your shot complete together with the fine light - thanks for letting us see.

Hola Izzet.

Her yerde can bulan insan silineceğini bilsede bırakıyor izlerini her daim. Ve o yaşantının 1/60 saniyesi sonsuzlaşıyor...(Birden aklımdan bunlar geçti)
Ne güzel apaçık bir kompozisyon, muhteşem.
Eline sağlık usta.

Bonjour Izzet,
En visitant ta galerie, je suis tombée sur celle-ci qui est vraiment très belle et très douce. La lumière qui caresse les dunes est magnifique, la présence des deux personnes en premier plan donne toute la profondeur au désert... Très beau !
Amicalement,
Stéphanie.
