I called this photo The Way as it confirms that the ways of old are still practiced even if in some cases it's for the sake of tourist money and secondly because it would be so easy for a novice to get lost amongst the endless dunes. If one is taught The Way from childhood, then what is threatening to outsiders is familiar and loved by the initiates.

I really like this series of desert images. Just like in the previous ones, the colours and light are lovely and the man with two camels provides a strong point of focus.
As always, interesting note too!

this is so special. A really magical ambience full of warm tones and a sense of an image that has not changed much in 2000 years. The lines are so graceful and the effect biblically fascinating. Love it!
Have a great weekend - Brian.

Nice photo again ! The orange colour of the sand is wonderful, the light is great and the sharpness is excellent. Anyway I think you centered too much the camels, it would have been better to put the camels on the bottom right third of the picture with dunes to the left. But maybe this was something not possible ?
Have a nice day,

Your note confirmed exactly what I was thinking when I first saw your photograph, Klaudio. You chose a good title, what an amazing culture.
And this shot, with its lovely tones and soft shapes, only interrupted by the sole traveller with his two camels, is very evocative indeed.

Sometimes seeing pictures like this, or of beautifully dressed Indian women carrying brass jars on their heads along the sand dunes just before sunset, I get a feeling that the tourist office has informed people of the time and place of the photo sessions. Regardless of that this is an enchanting photo with great colours and wonderfully shaped dunes.
Travelling by truck across the Sahara long ago I was deeply impressed by the calm confidence of my driver and his three assistants. To me the vast desert was a tough challenge, to them it was just their ordinary place of work. Nothing to worry about. They had learned The Way.

Another nice shot of the dune. I can be there and everyday taking photo of it. When I was here it rain the night before, the sand was still wet and there are river of brown mud in some area. Still beautiful regardless, but the save are not as silky looking. Here the color is beautiful with warm low sunlight. the vignette on the corners is a bit strong but it helps draw us in toward the center.

It is interesting to compare this one and your previous upload. I think the previous one is richer in details and contrasts between sunshine and shadow look just great. But as you describe on your note, I like the illusion of timeless nomadic travels on this one, including forward leaning posture of the man pushing uphill.

I do not write too many critiques or comments, bout I watch your photos everyt time you have uploaded one, and you are still one of my favorites. This a wonderful shot.
The way .... great title. Light, contrast, the desert, and the way of one man forward to the right place, who knows ?

Pustinja, priroda sa mnogo lica, surova a ipak lepa ...
Lep pogled na dine, vodica kamila i kamile ...
Dobar trenutak snimka, kontrast, lepe boje.
Lep trenutak u pustinji.
Sve najbolje za vikend.
Kod nas tropske vrucine, meteorolozi najavlju nevreme i kusu, videcemo.

That's a place I'd like to go one day! The image is wonderful, the texture of the sand is excellent, and the light there must be always good to take pictures! Wonderful job!
