Photographer's Note

Another view from Erg Chebbi at sunrise.
I think it was a memorable experience to sleep overnight in a traditional tent and watch the clear desert sky at night when there were no lights. You can see every star (even satellites) in the Milky Way.
There are two Saharan ergs (large dunes formed by wind-blown sand) at Moroccos. One of them is Erg Chebbi located near Merzouga, the local tourist center (almost 25 km of the Algerian Border). The Erg Chebbi is constantly changing shapes and reaches 22 kilometers from north to south and up to 5-10 kilometers from east to west. The dunes reach a height of up to 150 meters at some places.
