Photographer’s Note
Just before sunrise we got up the highest sanddune near our campsite, in the middle of the Erg Chebbi-desert. The view was absolutely amazing, with great colours and shadows. When the caravans were starting to head back to Merzouga, it made the pictures even better!!

Dag Rik,
I remember these dunes and it was indeed a special experience. You have a nice selection of the dunes here scattered with the bushes, and of course the camel caravan is a great detail to complete the shot and at the same time giving scale to the scene.

The brightness really communicates the warmth ... beautiful vastness ... the caravan really amplifies the scale .. tremendous!!

Incredible shot! At first the viewer sees the waves of sand, suddenly the camels appear. Fabulous...
