Photographer's Note

Taroudant (Arabic: تارودانت‎) is a Moroccan city located in the Sous Valley in the southern part of the country. It is situated east of Agadir on the road to Ouarzazate and the Sahara desert and south of Marrakech. It is called the "Grandmother of Marrakech" because it looks like a smaller Marrakech with its surrounding ramparts. In the sixteenth century the Saadians briefly used Taroudant as a capital, before they moved onwards to Marrakech. Today it has the feel of a small fortified market town on a caravan route.
The city is known for its local crafts, including jewelry and carpets.
Unlike Marrakech, almost the entire city of Taroudant is located inside its walls. A new part of the city is being developed outside the city walls around the campus of a faculty of the Ibn Zohr University of Agadir.

MATTINATA NUVOLOSA

Taroudant, in arabo “Tifinagh“, è una piccola città nel sud del Marocco situata nella piana di Souss, capoluogo omonimo della provincia. Nel 2005 contava circa 63.000 abitanti. La città si trova a 70 Km ad est di Agadir e 250 Km da Marrakech. Taroudant (pron.Taroudannte) é situata nella valle del Souss è circondata da due catene montagnose, l’Alto Atlas a nord e ad est, e l’Anti-Atlas a sud; a sud la piana si apre sull’Oceano Atlantico. E’ una valle fertile attraversata dall’Oued Souss che attraversa la città. La provincia di Taroudant ha, sul suo territorio, la più alta montagna dell’Africa del Nord, il Jebel Toubkal, 4.167 mt.

Le temps était couvert , et tu as cependant superbement capturé la lumière de ces formidables murailles orangées . le contraste avec les arbres bien verts et le ciel gris est magnifique . Le point de vue est excellent aussi .

Malgré ce temps sans ciel bleu, la couleur de la pierre ressort bien, un joli contraste, avec le vert des arbres, cela donne une superbe vue et de plus en plongée

The diagonal axis adds dynamism. Love the warm cold colour contrasts between the reddish orange wall & the blue grey sky. Good sharpness & well composed. A marvellous high pov & the people in the street below add scale. The green trees are nice too. Tfs!

A cloudy sky, but wonderful saturated tones. I like the oblique perspective and the green and golden yellow colour contrasts. Superb sharpness as always.

J'aime beaucoup cette perspective sur les murailles qui forment une belle diagonale dans l'image , ce qui donne de la profondeur à l'image. Une belle netteté et une belle gestion de la lumière difficile.

You could have title this otherwise, Luciano, I thought about "Orange fortification's" or just "big wall's"...
Impressive place, with the many symbols of Morocco's on side of the towers, green with the palm trees on far, and trees on street in FG.

Ciao Luciano, nonostante il cielo nuvoloso la luce non sembra così male, mi piace il contrasto tra gli alberi e le mura rosse, ho notato che ogni torre ha un simbolo differente...la prima una stella a cinque punte..le altre non riesco a distinguerle, ottimo il POV alto e la prospettiva, buona serata, Valter

immagine molto bella, trasmette una sensazione particolare, credo di poter dire di pace e serenità.
Molto ben scelto il punto di ripresa e la prospettiva, con l'albero sulla destra che conferisce profondità alla scena.
Quello che che mi ha particolarmente colpito sono i colori, molto particlari e delicati, specialmente il giallo delle mura e il verde della vegetazione. Il cielo nuvoloso ha diffuso la luce, ma forse è proprio questo che ha reso lo scenario particolare.

Un angle de prise de vue qui valorise la perspective. La culture africaine offre une architecture particulière que ton oeil de photographe a utilisé talentueusement en exploitant le graphisme qui t était offert. De belles couleurs bien boustées et un joli contraste entres elles !

I like the diagonal accent of the composition and the clear colours. Dark grey sky, almost orange coloured wall, green trees, almost pink pavement and black street. It's a plain view but carefully composed and faultlessly exposed. I guess the clouds provided the pleasantly mild colours.
