Photographer's Note

The medina in Chefchaouen, a town in the Rif Mountains, is famous for its blue medina. There are moments, like the one that I tried to capture here, that give one a sense of being enveloped in blue, and soothed by a cooling effect on a hot summer's day. It's a wonderful place to wander.

The medinas of Morocco form such a set of contrasts: they help to give places like Tanger, Asilah and Fes highly distinct identities.
