Photographer’s Note
The Place Uta el-Hammam, is the heart of the old town and the focal point on which daily life converges. The square is lined with trees and paved with stones and pebbles. At one end is the Grand Mosque. At the other end is a collection of shops and cafes. At the centre stands a four-sided fountain decorated with arches and green tiles. During each day of my stay, I would see this group of friends/neighbors spend some time together in the shade of one tree or another in the square..

hi michael,
this is a very eye-catching compo, i also like the intense colors. old men look happy and satisfied with life, and that's a refreshing approach as far as photographing old people is concerned.

There is something special about this image that i can not put is words. It seems almost a scene from a theater instead of the real life. Love the POV you choose and the brownish colors. Great work.

Michael: a typical Moroccan tableau - nicely presented - it would seem to be a judicious use of the tele. c

Hello Michael,
An impressive scene in good light. It might progress greatly when cropping periphery. However, it is really attractive subject. Heart-warming title is also very nice.
Best wishes, Hisashi
