Photographer’s Note
Chefchaouen is known as the blue city and it’s easy to see why… Its medina is a great place to wander around and explore in.
This shot was taken after walking down the stairs past a group of girls who had been talking to me in spanish and giggling. When I raised my camera to take their picture, they started to run as they did not want to be immortalized through the lens of my camera. When I lowered it, they stopped and giggled. While the girl in the blue jeans was waiting for her friends to catch up, by the look on her face, I think she was also a little bit intrigued.

Hello Michael,
The 'escaping' figures have a real sense of urgency which adds tremendous life to the image. The look of the photo is enhanced by the restricted colours - all in the red and pink range. The shadows also play an important part in adding depth to the scene.
Excellent catch!
Best wishes....Maggie
