Chefchaouen, a town in the Rif Mountains, is famous for its blue medina. There are moments, like the one that I tried to capture here, that give one a sense of being enveloped in blue, and soothed by a cooling effect on a hot summer's day. It's a wonderful place to wander.
The medinas of Morocco form such a set of contrasts: they help to give places like Tanger, Asilah and Fes highly distinct identities.

What a lovely alley, it looks as though it is made of ice. We were in Morocco last March and have seen some these quaint medinas but have not got up to the Rif Mountains. Thanks for this excellent photo.

This is a beautiful combination of different shades of blue (great that there do not exist other colors). The photo appears to be slightly skewed to the right, so I would straighten the photo, but this is not a major thing at all even if disturbs me a bit....or is that just optical illusion?
Best wishes, Kaisa
