An overview of Chefchaouen, the blue city in northern Morocco, with the Rif mountains as a backdrop. After the chaos of Tangiers and a 3 hour bus trip this laid back town was a welcome break. The bus station is at the bottom of a steep hill and the hotels are at or near the top of a hill. Best to get off the bus with the crowd as I did, to avoid that hill. Taken from the roof of my guesthouse.

Hello dear Chris, my neighbour today !
Very nice capture of this city in Marocco.
It reminds me to the sceneries in Greek islands.
TFS and have a nice day

Une image haute en couleur. Les façades gorgées de soleil
claquent joliment sur la colline. Les terrasses des maisons se disputent les toits de tuiles.
Une jolie présentation d'ensemble.

The distance between the village and the summit of the mountain is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the houses and of the mountain. The good luminosity is making the colours to stand out. Have a nice day.

great shot of this little City with its houses looking like they all sit on top of one another. It has a wonderful setting and does remind me of Greece. Looks like a fascinating place to explore. Excellent!

Ciao e buona serata

The white villages is a motiff or pattern all over the Mediteranean countries, though in Morrocco a light-blue tone added - and it doe's render a nice texture.
Well taken the labyrinth-style built houses, reminded Greece or Spain in view.

The cluster of houses here provide an almost cubistic pattern in the picture. A very attractive view with very fine colours.

very very interesting!
so THIS is the blue city we often see photo's of in Morocco!?
its great to see this because I don't think i've ever seen the city in this overview before.
and its interesting to see that alot of the homes are actually white.
cool shot! learned alot just by viewing it.

How magnificent this town has been built compact in that mountainous area.
The light is very beautiful and provides an excellent presentation of the blue facades together with the white ones.
An attractive view uphill.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris, a warm greeting after a few days of absence for a week getaway north of Portugal, sister country on the Iberian Peninsula. Very good picture of this interesting view of the interesting Moroccan villa, beautifully captured in this beautiful image, with very good quality. Excellent and interesting job perfectly done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work.
Good day and happy week.
Best wishes from southern Spain.

a wonderful presentation of this dense town that's climbing up the hill. The composition is great and allows us to concentrate on the festures of the houses and the compact character of the town. We can also enjoy the lovely textures and natural colours at the top of the hill. I like very much the way you've cropped the view at the bottom of the frame. The warm side light and the colours have been managed superbly. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,
