Photographer's Note

Apparently, in Arabic, the word kasbah (or qassabah) refers to a type of medina, Islamic city, or fortress (citadel). In Tangier, it refers to the walled-in part of the medina. It includes the Kasbah Museum in Dar el-Makhzen, the former sultan’s palace (where Portuguese and British governors also lived).
We were walking the streets of the Kasbah when we came upon this tunnel. I believe it's Rue Riad Sultan.
