Photographer’s Note
The area of Rabat had not seen rain for 3 years and everyone was enjoying the bad weather a lot. It rained very heavily along the coast for about 5 days.
This is the extreme point north east of the capital, the "Kasbah des Oudaias", with a terrace overlooking the ocean ; on the opposite shore is the twin city of Salé.
The creatures in the waves on the left of the photo are not strange sea mammals, just a group of surfers enjoying the waves - a better view of their playing area here, and maybe will you spot the silhouette of 2 guys enjoying fishing in the middle of the causeway on the right. More photos of fishermen to come soon.

Hey you came back! Welcome Dear Cath!
So, Morocco is the start! And it is so dark in Morocco!
Alas! I am making plans to go there this December. Would you recommend???
Almost a wide angle wideness, and the saturated colors remind me Henk's style of pp. A romantic landscape for sure. TFS.
Hugs,
Deniz

Hello Catherine ,
a very good capture indeed. Nice clarity. The overcast sky is nice to see.Kind of gives the feeling of a change from B/W to color from top to bottom.

Hi Cath,
nice to have you back again! No rain for three years - but exactly when you are there it starts raining ... Looks realy dramatic, and I can´t say which one I like better. The sky is really dramatic. But I guess it´s warm down there even though the weather is "bad". Looking forward to all your next Morocco photos!

Bonjour Catherine,

Hi Catherine,
That is one spectacular scene ... you certainly captured the atmosphere of the scene perfectly. That dark clouds with subdued overall lighting creates a stormy weather. You've made the bad weather look good :) Superbly composed ... it is like a painting! tfs

bonjour catherine

Hi Catherine
Nice panoramic shot, of a part of the Moroccan coast not often seen on TE. Good sharpness, & warm vs cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Olá Cath, nice to see you back from your trip and I'm looking forward to see more images. I remember this place from my visit many years ago, also in winter, so this is the weather that I recall. Excellent dynamic composition with many lines pointing to the horizon. The dark sky gives dramatism and makes a nice contrast. Good one in WS as well. A landscape with tiny people in it - like it.

Spooky light. Very nice. Good contrast between the saturation of the foreground and the gray of the background. I expect the Hand of God to come down through the clouds....

Hi Cath. Welcome back. Missed your shots for a fortnight but well compensated with this beautifully composed leisurely Atlantic. Great depth and colour with lots of geometry. Nice capture. Hope you had a nice time. Regards.

Excellent dark moody shot, Catherine, several piers bring much depth in your composition and of course the dark sky seem painted! Incredible that there wasn't any rain for 3 years, living in Holland this is unimaginable... ;))

Salut Catherine,
Impressionnante!
Bravo!
Amicalement, José.

Bonsoir Cath :)
Quelle belle perspective arrondie !

Cordialement.
