Photographer’s Note

(THIS IS A SERIES OF 6 VIEWS, please click on the link below to see the other ones in succession :) My father is a simple fisherman, we rent a part of this "palace" with other families, we are happy to live with so many people and foreign visitors are welcome to enter ;o)) ...First they'll need to find their way in the medina to find us and it's not that simple with those maze of narrow lanes, but if they are lost, there are many more houses like mine and often, the door is open for you, they'll guide you inside and help you to find your way back !

We live in an old mansion, this is the entrance and I like to play there with my friends... My name is Rachid, I'm a bit shy but you are welcome into my house ! Come, follow me if you have time, I'll show you much more....

Salut Catherine,

L'ambiance créée par la lumière qui réfléchit sur les murs est superbe, mais avec ces colonnades et détails orientaux, c'est carrément irrésistible!

Excellente composition et belle trouvaille, avec ces trois petits sujets qui occupent parfaitement l'espace.

bonjour Catherine, une belle composition avec ces trois enfants jouant entre les piliers de cette maison typique. j aime beaucoup le cadrage vertical et la lumiere est exceptionnelle.. j aime bien aussi celle en WS

Liked the handling of the subdued light. Kids playing in a happier mood providing more happiness to the photographer and finally taking her round to his mansion with a welcome is nicely composed. Documentary note is as usual excellent and re-readable. Regards.

all your morrocco shots have something special in them... may be it is the light, i dont know... they are all poetic, and this is no exception... a daily life scene but it is more than that somehow...

Bonjour, mon amie Catherine,
Vieille demeure aux murs décorés et sculptés, aux colonnes supportant des arcs travaillés et un "compteur électrique" qui nous rappelle que nous sommes bien au XXIe siècle !
La mise en scène est parfaite avec ces enfants jouant simplement. La lumière est très belle.

merci pour cette visite complete d'une habitation typiquement marocaine, cette photo descriptive de l'architecture nous montre aussi la vie quotidienne de ces enfants jouant dans un décors plutôt pas mal, plus agreable que les couloirs de nos ZUP en France, mais ça c'est un autre probeme.

Great insight into a daily life .
It's amazing to live in such an ancient buidling. I've seen it so many times - in Cuba, Egypt and other places - people get to live in these fantastic, historic flats and - not all, obviously, but some that I talked to - complain and wish they could move to an ugly, soulless flat in a modern building. And people in the Western world pay fortunes to get themselves out of these modern flats.
