On the way to Meknes from Rabat we passed rural areas as we covered the highland plateau of north-central Morocco. Shepherds and fields everywhere one looked and men and boys riding donkeys on their way to the fields or markets.
I was fortunate to be sitting in the front seat of the bus and therefore the vistas opened up before my eyes.
Unfortunately the windscreen, although large, reflected the interior of the bus and often I had streaks and reflected objects from the dashboard to contend with. This is one of my more successful shots and it is in focus!
I kept telling our guide that I was constantly reminded of the Balkans and of my childhood, when shepherds used to pass my grandmother's house coming down from the hills to graze their sheep along the coastal strips in front of our town. With the numerous donkeys, olive groves and shepherds before my eyes, I felt I was back in my childhood.

The image when blended with the note, creates a nostalgic effect. Soft colors in the FG with the hill and the sky at the far end – as if everything is painted with water color. I really enjoyed it .

nice rural landscape and sheep. But you write about donkeys, I like them so much and I do not see any :(. I also try to occupy the front seat in the bus. One can make better photo than from the site and of course you have the whole panorama. How great you could feel like in your sweet childhood (in Biograd?)

Selam Klaudio, probably you know that "Çoban" is also a common word for shepherd. The scene is also very common for me, there is a lot of goats and sheeps with a shepherd under reverse light photos that I shot nearby our house. Yours is a very good one despite the bus factor. I wonder when I'll be able to see Morocco. Have a nice week..
Ps.. Please check your emails, I mailed a few photos to you.

tough situation for taking a photograph, but you did well at the end. Adequate sharpness to enjoy the view. Like the shepherd with the cattle and the grey grasses (may be) surrounding them. Good colour tone. Nice hills at background in haze. A very atmospheric one. Tfs.

Lovely photo, soft colors, distinct lines and some action in the middle!

Very good for a photo taken through the window from inside a moving bus. I like the colours and there is something painterly about the image (maybe it IS the result of taking it through a glass panel).

This is a different type landscape from what I am used to see of Marocco.
Lovely colours and atmosphere. I like the choice of the title! In Albania the word "Bari" is used just as much as "Coban".
By the way, thanks for your explanation of the word Skrapar, it makes even more sense now! Also "Dalmatia" is most definitely an Ilyrian word from the word "Delme" or sheep (modern Albanian the word for sheep is "dele". So Dalmatia basically would mead "Sheepland".
