Photographer’s Note

Volubilis was just about as far in this direction that the Romans reached. They were responsible for the introduction of olive trees to Morocco and you can see the remains of oil presses at Volubilis.
The ruined city has a great setting, on top of a low hill with views to the rich agriculture land around that attracted the Romans in the first place.
On the day we visited storm clouds were looming so clouds instead of blue skies!
The remains are impressive with quite a few structures, lots of pillars and an amazing collection of mosaics remaining on the site.
