Hello Roger,
I have never seen a leather tanning. Beautiful image of the tanning. I like the the colors of the liquid in the stone bins. Nice capture of these men working . Nice job of conversion.

Hello Roger,
One imagines this was how they must have done it in Medieval times in big cities like London and Paris. The point of view was well chosen to provide a good overview of the operations. There is much to see and retain the interest. A fine presentation fro your archives.

Hello Roger,
Thi photo has an ancient, smelly and unhealthy air about it. A great view for photographers, not a place where I would ever like to work. Another excellent scan with well kept colours and clarity.
Kind regards,
Gert

Bonjour Roger,

What a piece of history documented here, Roger.
Impressive and well well preserved!
All those diff. pits which have a purpose on it's own, and the men working - giving a very dynamic mode and vivid tone. Superb.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike

Bonjour Roger,
Bravo.
Bonne journée
Amicalement

Hi Roger!
Guess they wanted to change it to some other place! Guess the place has changed a little since then, but it has kept its character. You did a good job with the scanner, the quality is very good for such an old photo. Good idea to show it!

Hi Roger
Aclassic picture, you have made a wonderful job of restoring this. An intriguing daily life activity at this famous scene and the view point is lovely. I like the treatment in warm light, good tones and the oldie look, they almost camouflage into the environment and the apppearence is well depicting the time gone by. Excellent work. Well done.
Best regards

Ciao caro Roger,
Bravo!
Ciao, buona domenica!

Hi Roger,
A amazing "oldie", perfect scanned ! Those tanneries are still in use and I hope it will last longer; as those kind of artisanal handcrafts are disappearing more and more.
Perfect entry !
TFS and have a nice weekend
Best regards

First I thought this was one of Holmertz' scans, but I see you've started on them too, Roger. Travelling in time...great picture. I love the old-style colours.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Hi Roger,
A very interesting document from the past. I guess that nothing has changed there anyway. Picturesque shot, have a nice evening.

Bonsoir Roger

Hi Roger
That shot you took around the time when I was there as well. Naturally it looks the same as I remember it. Good analogue job but also good digitalization. Fine colour hues with high sharpness. Well done
Warm regards

Salut Roger, and congratulations on converting a valuable old image of a fascinating subject. I'm afraid my photos from that era are too deteriorated to scan, and I regret the loss of those images. Morocco in the 60s and 70s was certainly an interesting place.
Best regards, Steve
