Photographer’s Note
These water sellers who can be seen around Morocco walk with water in a camel skin bag and pour it into brass cups to sell to thirsty passers by. They also make a bit of extra cash by asking tourists who want to photograph them in all their finery for money.
In the workshop you can see a fuller version of him with all his cups, water skin and bell for attracting people.

Salaam Wanda,
Colorful guy for sure, both images are nice but I think I prefer the WS version for providing more context than this close portrait, and also because the red in particular seem more vivid there.
Have a nice day jY

What a wonderful face, full of character! I prefer the closer version as we feel more contact with him. Your framing is perfectly done. I do find the colorbalance off. Far too much red (see WS)
All the best

Hello Wanda,
The photo is beautiful, well-colored, and it is a beautiful portrait.
But I do not like water seller of Marrakesh.
It is a "mafia" and they almost force you to take pictures for money.
How dirhams for this picture?
Yours
Marc

nice glance and smile, good colors, it's a very good close portrait,
but the piece of bell in the bottom makes me want to see more,
and when i take a look on the second version, i think it's this one that should be posted, it's showing essential elements of this man

Hoi Wanda,
Groetjes, Henk

Spectacular and cheerful portrait with vivid colours and splendid details. The narrow composition is very attractive, the quality is superb. An excellent shot. Have a nice sunday

Hi Wanda,
Colourful portrait, he is attractively dressed for photographers indeed. I like your colour tonality boosted a little red. Very useful reply to Monsieur Morac.
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Hi Wanda,
I bought of of these hats in Taroudant, in the late 60's... very fashionable!!! I like the tight framing and the friendly smile of the water seller, not so easy to have close up portraits in Morocco, I think, mostly, people are not too keen on being photographed there. Very colorful too!

Hello Wanda,
You must be proud of this gorgeous portrait, high in colours and gear.
Both versions are impeccable and complement each other. I like the main version with a tighter close-up, establishing a good eye contact and a more intimate contact. And for someone like me who have never been there, the fuller version offers and insightful general view of the "water seller kit".
The large hat doesn't create heavy shadow and the face is perfectly lit.
Cheers!
André

Hallo Wanda,
Een beeld van herkenning. Zij het uit Marrakesh, daar lopen ze ook rond in een zelfde soort kleding.
Schitterend portret in uitstekende scherpte en details. Mooie natuurlijke kleuren.
Ik hoop, met zo'n Hollandse naam, dat je dit kunt lezen.
Groet,
Peter
