View to the Atlantic Ocean, a photo from Casablanca, North

Photographer's Note

Late in October and late in afternoon,the sunbeds were empty but lot of natives were in coffees shops and pastry shops enjoying the endless view of the Atlantic Ocean, as some surfers were still in the sea.

Casablanca

الدار البيضاءCasablanca (Spanish for "white house" ; Amazigh: Anfa; Standard Arabic: الدار البيضاء; Moroccan Arabic: dar beïda) is a city in western Morocco, located on the Atlantic Ocean. It is the capital of the Greater Casablanca region.

With a population of 3.1 million (3.8 million in the "greater Casablanca" (September 2005 census), Casablanca is Morocco's largest city as well as its chief port. It's also the biggest city in the Maghreb and the sixth biggest city in the entire continent of Africa. With a majority of the modern economic sector being based in the Casablanca region, and the Casablanca area being dominant in industrial and service sector activity, it is often and justifiably referred to as the economic capital, although Morocco's political capital is Rabat. It is also the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.

Casablanca is the leading city hosting headquarters and main industrial facilities for the leading Moroccan and international companies based in Morocco. Industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historic position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca is considered as Morocco's chief port and as one of the largest artificial ports in the world.It is also the largest port of the Maghreb and North Africa

Hello Danos,

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the two-story building extended in the direction of marine and calm/blue Atlantic ocean. The whole is harmonized beautifully by fine color combination with blue, yellow and red. It's a good taste for the shadow projected to the roof and color layers of sea. And, the lighthouse which is visible to the long distance of the coastline draws out an additional good effect in this image.

Hi Danos,

I wish you would have had the opportunity to take this photo a little earlier in the evening because of the area in the shade in the right bottom corner. But you did the very best of the situation. The composition is brillant. I love the stong diagonal line and the horizon line a 1/3 and very attractive lighting in most of the photo. Good idea to put your signature, that is lighting up, in the darkest area of the photo. TFS and have a nice evening!

The colors and lighting in this image are the most compelling and captivating aspects. I love the deep cobalt blue of the sea waters, as well as the rich colored light of the fading sun light on the building. The browns and purples also blends well with the colors and provides a good deep feeling to the image.

A beautiful, wide open look out to the ocean...this is a nice view all along the shoreline. The panoramic cut suits this perfectly to enhance the vast expanse. The soft light is wonderful as it cast's its shadows over the foreground, creating a layer of contrast between the buildings and water.
