Photographer's Note

A 10 day trip in Morocco began from Casablanca,staying in this hotel.
I used only the light of the interior of the lobby and i think that in spite of the difficult conditions someone can see the details and the beauty of it.

Casablanca

With a population of 3.1 million (3.8 million in the "greater Casablanca" (September 2005 census), Casablanca is Morocco's largest city as well as its chief port. It's also the biggest city in the Maghreb and the sixth biggest city in the entire continent of Africa. With a majority of the modern economic sector being based in the Casablanca region, and the Casablanca area being dominant in industrial and service sector activity, it is often and justifiably referred to as the economic capital, although Morocco's political capital is Rabat. It is also the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.

Casablanca is the leading city hosting headquarters and main industrial facilities for the leading Moroccan and international companies based in Morocco. Industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historic position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca is considered as Morocco's chief port and as one of the largest artificial ports in the world.It is also the largest port of the Maghreb and North Africa

very curious details of this hotel, the addornments are interesting and I liked the way you used the elements here. that celuloid strips probably is a homage to the famous movie and the portrait of the king is well visible. nice job.

The wideness of the lobby is giving dept5h to the scene. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the entrance of the hotel. The surrounding light has a gfood effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

It seems that this is a luxurious hotel. Its interior is designed in modern style with traditional Moroccan elements and very rich decoration. Good vertical composition, beautiful combination of colors, highly interesting details and perfect quality of the capture despite the difficult indoor lighting conditions!

Hello Danos,

You're capturing well this lobby by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see yhe hotel's lobby gorgeous interior of The floor of a geometrical pattern, a chandelier and marble. It seems to be subject to the influence of the Southern Europe culture. And, the big flower decoration at lobby's center draws out a strong impact.

the lobby of this hotel is really elegant, its traditional decoration is rich and pleasant, and you have caught everything in an image very sharp in spite of the weak conditions of the light in this capture inside the building.
You have reached a balanced exposure, with a good contrast and a few beautiful colors.

There's fairly strong intense colors coming thru' in excellent indoor natural light and managed resonably well.
Lots of props laid out to attract the eye. There's good shade and shadow as well to boost the depth.

A 10 day trip in Morocco, not bad! I wish a had more time for travelling. The interior of this hotel indicate of a high standard and was probably a pleasant stay. Good exposure and controll of the light but it is also a good balance in the composition, well done my friend!

great choice of a vertical frame to capture this impressive reception area.There are many great details to look at, from the floor tiles, the cladded columns and the chandeliers.
You did very well with f 2.8 and 1/90 ..... not an easy situation.
