Photographer’s Note

The Rock at the west coast of Mauritius near the village of Tamarin. I took this picture during a katamaran tour with some warm rain showers - same weather condition we have today in Germany.

Hola Achim, preciosa fotografía una verdadera postal. Me gusta el POV que has tenido y la composición de la fotografía. El agua es cristalina, me gusta el tono de las montañas y las nubes que le dan un punto tenebroso.

Hi Achim,
I like this pleasant landscape firstly because of the warm feeling of vacation. Then what i like the most is the growth of pine trees on that extremely desolated piece of rock. And those volcanic formations make a great BG. Colors are splendid. Thanks,

Hello Achim,
On the miniature this rock looked like the small ship. Only on full size I saw this rock, if naiant after the magnificently lymph. The interested picture, nice colouring and very good quality of the photo.

This is a first rate shot of Paradise. (So I am told by one of my university students who comes from Mauritius.) The colors, composition, perspective and clarity are all excellent.

ein einsamer Fels, schwimmend in der wilden See. Nee, weder schwimmt noch wild. Was bist Du auch bei so einem Wetter auf Mauritius gewesen. Nichtsdestotrotz reizvolle Aufnahme, der Fels wirkt kurios.

Lovely shot of the crystal clear waters around Mauritius. The rain doesn't seem to have affected the light quality. Good shot

Achim, ce rocher posé sur l'eau comme une sculpture fait penser à un tableau de Magritte où un voit un rocher comme suspendu en l'air. J'aime les couleurs de l'eau et la lumière sur la montagne.

Hi Achim,
A most successful scan, as the integrity of the original photo is largely preserved. The rich tones of the water especially are alluring here, with good shadow effects. This Rock looks to have some possible religious or historical significance and is most unusual. Fascinating work...later.

This photo scanned from negative has a good quality of image, and an agreeable composition thanks to a good setting.
The rock attracts our look for its original shape, but the water of color turquoise and the mountains in background cut away in the sky give a great beauty to the set.
