Palm Trees are not growing on Mauritius. They are planted for tourists at the hotels. Why? Nobody knows it really and I'm wondering because Mauritius has a lot of beautiful trees. During the monsun time cyclones are destoying the top of the trees - the result could be seen here.

Distance between my last shot and Mauritius about 8465km.

Hi Achim
Really a typical beach for tourists. I prefer a natural raw coast than this artificial one.
Cheers
JP

Hi Achim, A lovely beach scene, nicely composed from a slightly unusual view point to me, this side of the palm seems a little different, however it’s a very good photo with well managed light, great depth & superb colours, it feels very welcoming, kind regards Wilson.

Hallo Achim,
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Bonjour, mon ami Achim,
Fabuleuse image de vacances ! Image de rêve, image d'évasion, image tout en couleur.
En un mot : une image qui donne envie d'aller planter ses valises sur cette plage de sable fin.
Joyeuses fêtes de Noël.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Hi Achim,

thanx for this photo, with the cold weather we have right now... I love the colors and the summer feeling you succeded to "catch".

Cheers,

Loïc

Hi Achim,
Very beautiful view and place.Nice colours and details, good composition

Stupid thing, indeed. The artificial world sells better than the real one. I guess that palmtrees are part of the paradise imaginarium of tourists...A resort without palmtrees would be incomplete. Interesting post, good composition. I specially like the palmtree at left FG, although I would have avoided that chair on the right.
Best wishes,
ricardo

It does seem an odd thing to do to plant trees that don't normally grow there. They do look a bit sorry for themselves too, so maybe they don't like being there. ;D Well composed image showing the view looking up the beach.

Hi Achim
Although not natural-born, they look quite nice on the beach. Great photo with the excellent warm light.

Hola Achim
I thought that this picture was captured in one of my country's beach, looks very similar. Very good colors, clarity, sharpness and POV.
Well done. TFS.
Best regards.

I don't know why but I appreciate the pov and that palm trees lines. Not so usual to see these trees right on the beach. Makes it funny.

Hi Achim,

I'm amazed by the variation of your shots, regarding the places. This beach looks great for some relaxing moment. The clarity is superb as much as the natural colors. Beautiful and well executed.
Regards,
Carlos

Hello Achim
Your POV and careful framing has led to good perspective thanks to these palms. Harsh light managed well, quality in the form of sharpness. Nice one.
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Achim,

A beautiful beach scenery, with sand, the palm trees and the sea, an ideal place to be now compare to the winter season in Canada. The point of view is giving depth to the photo. Thanks for sharing.
