Photographer’s Note
Today Sunday 3rd April was held the one day Reggatta at Mahebourg which was the first harbour of the island during French occupation. It was a wonderfull moment shared among the village people. They can be said to be professionals as most of the participants earn a living as fisherman. They have for more than a century got the wind as their partners for their daily ventures in the open sea. This is the day where they enjoy showing off their talents on board these small wooden pirogues. The colours were just amazing and eye catching.I have tried to share some of these pictures with you.

Bonsoir Christian,
Très belle régate avec ces voiles de toutes les couleurs.
La composition est très réussie. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs douces.
Le ciel dynamise la composition.
Un petit atelier pour le plaisir.
Amitiés.

Wonderful photo, Christian! I love the colors, from the sails to the green of the ocean to the blue of the sky. Your POV was just right, positioning the boats receding into the distance and from right to left. Well done!
